It’s everywhere. From blogs to newspapers to books at Barnes and Noble. And it’s loud. Tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet.

It’s Twitter. And whether you like it or not (yet) it’s going to be around in some form or another for a long time I suspect. Might as well get used to it, right?

A couple of months ago I was in the same boat many of you might be in right now, wondering whether all this Twitter madness was of any use to me at all or whether it was just a bunch of noise, literally. But I started to hear a lot of Twitter related stories and talked to people that I personally know who were using it in ways that I hadn’t considered before.

And the lightbulb finally went off for me. There was some serious power in Twitter! People were not only using Twitter to make connections and network with others, they were making money too. Some of them making LOTS of it as I came to find out.

The biggest thing that stood out for me is this…

From a marketing perspective, Twitter = Listbuilding. Plain and simple. Proper listbuilding is all about building a list AND building relationships with the people on that list. And in many cases the people I was talking to confided in me that their Twitter contacts were more responsive than even their e-mail lists were. As a long time email marketer, I was pretty shocked. But I started doing research and I discovered several truths that I want to share with you.

There’s a right way and a wrong way to go about using Twitter, and some rules of thumb to keep in mind along the way. But there are several crucial steps you’ll want to take note of.
Here’s how this works:

1. Get followers. Sounds simple right? But there’s a lot of stuff out there that will make you think you can just automate the process and be done with it. BEWARE, Twitter is watching. If you do it wrong, you’re sunk. Account Suspended. Tweet no more.

2. Build a relationship with your followers. Yes, that’s right, you’re going to need to start talking with your followers! You want to treat them like you would anyone you might meet at any other social gathering, stipulating that you’re not at a professional wrestling event and everyone is already yelling at one another. <G>

3. Get them Clicking & ReTweeting. Once you build that relationship with them you want to encourage (gently) them to start clicking links you provide with items of interest and most of all to get them Retweeting your posts. Why? Because the *real* power of Twitter is NOT in your own list of followers. Nope. The real power is in the power of the exponent. If you give things of value to the Twitterverse, the Twitterverse will return the favor… Tenfold.

4. Last but not least. You want to make money right? Of course you do. Once you’ve completed steps one through three, there are a ton of ways that you can start to monetize your followers…their followers and their followers followers. But also beware: Twitter spam is on the rise and people are becoming wary of anyone who just jumps into the pool and starts shouting Marco Polo at the top of their lungs. You have to be very careful to craft your Tweets so that people are still getting maximum value from you.

Today I saw a promotion for another super secret “system”
that promises instant sales – in the first 24 hours actually.
I downloaded the free report, curious to see if there is
something FRESH there…

While I read nothing new (again) related to that magic
“system,” I cannot avoid mentioning the following for the
report that features a “success story” of a single mom.

It IS true that if you ACT, you will get results.
It is NOT true, that systems generate results for you.

It IS true that if you create something every day, you
will get more results. It is NOT true that systems can
create that “something” for you.

It IS true that only a small % of marketers (less than 5%)
generates 5, 6 or even 7 figures per month.

It IS true that you may NOT needed to become a Guru…
for $1,000 or say up to $5,000 per month MAY allow you
to fulfill your personal dreams.

It is NOT true that the “Internet Marketing’s Sky” has a limit.
That means: if you are OK with $5K that’s perfect. If you
want to make $50,000 every month, that’s OK too….

…but…

It IS true that those people earning 5,6, or 7 figures per
month are not SOLO marketers. A team exists behind and
works day and night… To be precise: the more money you
make the more people your team has. I like that because
especially for me it turns too:

“The more money you make, the more people you can share
your wealth with.”

Thus the need of having teams to support your vision is
not only a critical factor for your success, but you can
also make it to work as a happiness factor for your
people being added to the team…

It IS true that the more you LEVERAGE your actions
the more money you can make.

As it is true that robots cannot generate ideas for you.

Where are we ending up???

I am asking this question to myself too, because in about
a week I shall come to tell you that MY SYSTEM is the ONE
and ONLY 1 you need in order to succeed online….

So… the question is…
…”how come John?”

I had been asking that question too for years…
I did not want to offer a course that could make another
“John” to email his people, saying that there was “nothing new there…”

Since I am DOING it now… there must be a GOOD reason, right?

There is indeed… and I’ll try to explain why:

I was not good in Chemistry but I do remember an experiment.

The teacher had 3 tubes in front of him.
Each tube had a white liquid inside.

The teacher was getting another tube with another white
liquid inside, adding 1 drop of it to EACH of the 3 tubes.

I remember it because it was like magic.

The first tube’s liquid became blue.
The second tube’s liquid became red.
The third tube’s liquid became green.

“Wow!” all students said…
“How is that happening!!!???”

And the teacher’s answer was this:

“It happens because this white liquid I have
in the tube in my hands is called… catalyst.”

Amazing nature..!

So the “catalyst” turns 1 white liquid to red,
another one to blue and another one to green.

Time to think now.

We had been talking about this many times in the past:

If 1 uses the SAME SYSTEM that some other 1000s of
people USE too and that 1 has the SAME results with the
results generated by those 1000s of other people too….

…and if that system was an Internet Marketing product
or course, or name it anything, that promised you instant
riches…

…would that mean that EVERYBODY would become millionaires?

It’d be nice eh?

Unfortunately it is an utopia…

THINK: all everybody should do then would be to get
that Super Course, and become millionaires…

Imagine the consequences…

THE SAME RESULTS would make people happy
THE SAME INSTANT WAY.

How nice!:)

THAT’S what MOST marketers SELL:
That Utopian Dream.

Think about it…

- a secretary would have the same results
- a professor would get the same results
- a carpet cleaner would get the same results
- a pizza boy: the same…

Just by following the Steps of 1 Course!!!

It IS a Dream.

Practically speaking: a naive dream, for many reasons.

A professor should generate BETTER results than the
secretary or than the carpet cleaner.

Do not take that as an offense if you are a secretary
or a carpet cleaner. That’s perfectly OK. But YOU DO
know that the professor is a bit more educated than
you – at least on an academic level.

Can you see how the logic changes now??

Even if THAT Utopian System existed, it’d allow
people to generate NOT THE SAME RESULTS but instead:
DIFFERENT results to people depending on THEIR talents,
education, knowledge and idiosyncrasy – to name some
factors.

For example: A professor that is not a “social” person
should make LESS money with that “Utopian Course” than
the money made by another professor more sociable…

Why?

Because the social professor could for example LEVERAGE
his efforts by attending seminars, thus knowing more people
both prospective customers and also prospective partners.

That’s Simple Logic in action, right?

Like the “catalyst” that “Utopian Course” would make
professor A’s life happy and professor B’s life happier.
(IF money was used as metrics of happiness.)

The only “problem” we have here is that the “Utopian”
course we’re using in our story promised this:

Instant results, the Same Results for EVERYBODY.

THAT statement by itself puts limits.

The “same” results means you can go from 1 to 10,
not from 1 to 100 OR from 1 to 1000 and not with
chances to reach 1,000,000…

If we had to apply that simple logic to our story
the Utopian Course should have to redefine itself
like this:

“A course that brings different but instant results
depending on WHO you are and WHAT you CAN do in this
life better than others.”

Makes much better sense…

The only “gray” area is the phrase “instant results.”

There is NO metrics for that expression…
Since results ARE DEPENDED “on WHO you are
and WHAT you CAN do in this life better than others”
then again results WOULD DIFFER… thus professor
A may had the promised results coming in 12 hours, while
the pizza boy may need 120 hours instead.

Simple Logic again.

Can you spot the discrepancies though???

- A professor CAN have instant results.
- A pizza boy CAN have instant results.
- A professor WILL have better results than the pizza boy.
- A professor WILL have better results than the pizza boy – sooner.

Bad news for the pizza boy then…

If the Magic Utopian product promised results in 24 hours then…
…when pizza boy’s results WILL come????

Because his results will come a bit later than the
professor’s results anyway….

…but then again, the results would NOT be the same
because the professor SHOULD have BETTER results than
the ones promised by the Magic Utopian course itself…

The pizza boy would feel frustrated indeed…

I am not playing with your mind.

I am just trying to explain logical things here.

I could just tell you:

There is NO course that can bring INSTANT results to EVERYBODY.
There is NO course that can bring the SAME results TO EVERYBODY.

After all the above, can you now accept that statement?

If yes, can you now see how “naive” those promises for
instant success and same results look like?

THOSE promises DO play with your mind indeed.

How?

They “satisfy” the lazy person inside you OR the dreamer
OR your enthusiastic character… or “your last hope”
for “instant profits” that CAN JUSTIFY the order of that
product better than playing the same money in Lotto.

Sellers online KNOW that hopes sell.
Sellers online sell the SAME hopes.

The PACKAGING and the ANGLE differ.

The anti-social professor marketer may offer you PDF files only.
The social professor marketer will add his cool videos too with
his friends talking about his magic course…

Simple logic again.

However THAT SIMPLE LOGIC is NOT used when evaluating
sales of “hopes….” because YOUR INNER SELF DOES NOT
want to THINK THAT WAY.

When you are in a position where you have spent 1000s
of dollars, have tested countless money making ways,
and have mortgages and/or loans or credit cards to
be paid in 2-3 days… and a husband that cannot share
your vision… then YOU WILL BUY the “hope” indeed…
You will BUY that “Utopian Course” because your
EMOTIONAL BRAIN will put Simple Logic aside, thus
allowing the “mental drug” of the ILLUSION initiated
by the marketer through his sales letter to satisfy your soul.

You may now expect to tell me that…

“my course won’t be an Utopian one… ”
“my course won’t give you false promises… ”

etc.
etc.

:)

That’s what Simple Logic commands you to THINK :) )

“It’s logical.” :)

The answer will surprise you.

My course differs because it operates like the CATALYST.

Mary would get red results in X days.
Charles Evans could get blue results in Y days.

The Delaverian Marketing Course differs because…
…it does not FOCUS on “STEP 1, 2, 3 …N”-like Plans

Affiliate Marketing–What Do We Think About!

All marketers be come what they think about.  The old saying from the computer world applies to our minds as well “Garbage in Garbage out”.  I say control the garbage you put in your mind.

WE BECOME WHAT WE THINK ABOUT.

The thoughts that we have in our head program our life. If we think broke, then we will be broke. If you think achievement then you will achieve. The mind seems to have three parts,

The conscious mind is our constant awareness. This is the part of our mind that controls the things that we do and think about. The conscious mind acts as the keyboard. to communicate with the other parts of the mind.

The subconscious mind is that part of the mind the controls the functions of the body.  This part of the subconscious mind can be compared to the computer that controls the functions of your automobile engine.  It works but you don”t know how it does it.  You provide the input and the car goes.  The subconscious also acts as the computer and the creator for the events in our lives. Very little ever happens to us that we have not made a choice to accept.

The third part of the mind and the part that is least understood is the infinite intelligence communications link. We hear little of this part of the mind. Man has been trying to address this link for all of history. This is the part of the mind that communicates with the whole intelligence of the universe. This may be done through prayer, meditation and other methods. This communicator is controlled by the program running in the subconscious mind.

Victor Frankl in his book MANS SEARCH FOR MEANING he states, “Man’s greatest freedom is the freedom to choose his own thoughts.” At the time that he came to this conclusion Mr. Frankl was a Jewish Prisoner in a Nazi concentration camp. He had been subject to all sorts of medical experiments and after all of this his conclusion was that he had greater freedom than his captors because he could choose his own thoughts and how he would respond to any situation. They had greater liberty but not greater freedom.

To survive in the world one must get their strength from within not from without. Inter-strength comes from know what your correct principles are and living your life accordingly. The problem is how do I get correct principles and how do I get them inside of me. How do I communicate these principles to my subconscious mind?

This question of how leads to the greatest single challenge that any Human Being will ever face. In order to answer the how, one must know what is supposed to be communicated to the subconscious mind. Each of us must decide what principles will be the guiding forces in his life. These can not be gotten out of a book or be handed to you by some other person. However, if you do not choose your own principles you most definitely will live by those of some one else.

Deciding correct principles for your live is directly related to what you want out of life. What is your definite major purpose in life? What is your mission in life? You must seek out and find your own mission. The Bible says that a man with out vision will parish. You mission statement or you definite major purpose is that vision.

There is much written about how to get you vision on paper. The best sources are: SEVEN HABIT OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE by Stephen Covey, FIRST THINGS FIRST by Stephen Covey; THINK AND GROW RICH by Hill) MASTER KEY TO RICHES by Hill,:

WISH CRAFT by Barbara Sher, I CAN DO ANY THING I WANT IF I ONLY KNEW WHAT IT WAS? by Barbara Sher. There are other books written to help you solve this problem. The method that you use to define your mission in life will become very personal. I guarantee that by the time that you have a mission statement written down on paper that you will have looked into the very bowels of your soul. (This was the single most difficult thing that I ever accomplished.)

Apologies of the author are in order when it comes to finding your mission statement: I do not know any easy or even hard way to do this. It must come from your search. I feel that the search may well be more important that the resulting mission statement I spent ten years searching and still revise it on occasion. The point is that a mission statement is a living document and as .such will change with your experience in life. It will provide direction in your life like nothing else can. (My mission statement parallels my Patriartical Blessing.)

This is the first step in getting correct principles in your subconscious. (Your subconscious already knows all of the information both good and bad and is waiting only for direction from you to accomplish what you want to do with your life).

I now have a mission statement (That was easy wasn’t it). How do I get this mission statement in to my subconscious? There probably are many way to do this but this author only know of one that work most of the time. That method is Auto Suggestion. This may take many forms such as imaging in your mind, pictures on the refrigerator, affirmations and positive self talk. My most successful method has been prayer and asking for my Heavenly Fathers help and direction.

Your thoughts will make you what you want to be and have made you what you are. If you don’t like some of yourself very much then change your thoughts. The computer people have saying “garbage in garbage out” and this applies equally to the programming of your mind. We truly become what we think.

I am not sure of any exact method to change your thoughts but one that has worked for me is to keep constant vigilance of what you think. If you get thoughts in your head that you don’t like you can kick them out. Every act occurs first in the mind before it is committed. The man that commits adultery has thought about it before he does it. It just doesn’t happen. If you find your self thinking about items that you should not, then kick those thoughts out. If you need to complete a project think about and visualize the complete project. Take that final picture and come back one step and then one step further until you arrive at today. What you have just done is created a plan to accomplish that end. Things don’t always work the way that we plan them but if we begin with the end in mind and support it with correct thoughts we have a high probability of achieving that goal.

Techniques to control your thoughts:

  • Be very careful of what you put into your mind. (The adversary plants all kinds of unacceptable information in our minds through television and the internet).

  • Think about what is important to you in a positive manner.

  • Look for the good but be realistic in your expectation of others.

  • Visualize positive out comes.

  • Pray for guidance.

  • Create affirmations and read they daily to change thoughts.

  • Act only upon those thoughts that you choose to act upon.

Steven Covey stated that the gap between stimulus and response is the one thing that separates man for beast. Use this gap wisely.

I believe that every new internet marketer gets scammed at least once in the first month of trying to be on line. You are new and eager to get things done. You don’t know where to start. So you get a zillion messages that say buy my product and you will be an instant millionaire. This is bunk. The ain’t no free lunch.

The reality is you are going to buy products that you don’t need or that don’t work for you. The important thing is to limit these mistakes.

How can you avoid buying products that you don’t need? There are a few significant things that you can do to find products that will help you build your business..

  • Use the grocery store sample method. You go to Costco and try a free sample if you don’t like the sample you don’t buy the product. You don’t buy the product if it is not in your budaget or related to your shopping list. Download and use the free stuff if you like how the author relates to you than put them on your list to considerer for purchase. Look for those that have really done it. Some times this is hard to determine however look at their web site. The most important way to use this method is to search for their name and web site on google. Read what other people have to say. Search the marketing forums for information for beginners. This is good experience and very enlightening.

  • Check them out on Rip Off Report. Don’t believe every thing in rip off but they are a good indicator of how complaints are solved and what the customer service is like.

  • Be careful and due your research before you pull out your credit card.

I learned these lessons the hard way. I was looking to make some extra money and contacted the Robert Allen web site. I got a phone call that promised to evaluate me as a student. You know the story set the hook. My wife and I knew that internet marketing was a good thing. Robert Allen’s Prosper learning promised the moon a delivered a rock. We spent $10,000 on a coaching program that was supposed to put us on easy street. The problem was that the coaches were people that had been in internet marketing for a short while and had not made much money. The first coach quit and went to work for the Ubuntu folks selling and developing commercial software. Our second coach was a lady with a boutique and we were trying to develop a web site to sell auto parts and another to sell jigsaw puzzles. To make matters worse we were signed up for a program on a monthly recurring basis in addition to the $10,000 up front charge. It took me over a year to get that charge canceled and I noticed that it appeared again a month or so ago. Don’t bite on the expensive program unless you know that they will work. Don’t buy the hype. Above all else check with the Better Business Bureau in the city where they are located for complaints. All so check with the secretary of State for that state to see if they actually have a business license. Any legitimate business will have a license.

How can I get started in internet marketing and not get scammed? There are a few easy things to do.

  • Exercise discipline—don’t believe it will be off the market in 3 days. It may be but these things always seem to show up later either as a bonus or a lower price.

  • Do your research.

  • Plan what you want to accomplish.

  • Look at the free stuff—there is a lot of excellent beginning marketing material that is free.

Internet Marketing is the wave of the future. You can make money on the internet. You need to get started. Do it the right way and the smart way. I recommend that you avoid all programs the use recurring billing until you have determined that they work for you. There are three recurring products that I use and these can be found on my web site. Any business has some risk—the secret is to manage the risk and get the job done.

Why I Love Affiliate Marketing – Part 3

Some people have the ability to persuade others and talk
them into just about anything.  Especially when it comes
to influencing their buying decisions.  They know how to
push the right hot buttons, say things the right way and
generally get consumers into an emotional frenzy to the
point they are ready to click an order button.

There are two key words in that paragraph that really need
to stand out in your mind:  “some people”.

Not everyone has this ability.  In fact, only a few do.

That brings me to the third reason why I love affiliate
marketing…

** You don’t need to write a world class salesletter**

Have you ever tried to write a salesletter? There’s a
reason why professional copywriters charge up to $10,000
(and sometimes even more) for a SINGLE salesletter. It
takes a lot of experience and skill to write a top-gun
salesletter, which is why most people have a hard time
convincing people to buy if they do create their own
products and website.

They simply don’t have the right salesletter in place
to make it all work. Without good copy, it really doesn’t
matter how spectacular the offer is, you’re simply not
going to get many sales.

SIDEBAR:  The average conversion rate of site visitors
who become buyers is reportedly less than 2%.  That
means 98 out of every 100 do NOT buy.  That’s why
sales are so incredibly bad for a poor site … you
*might* get 2 sales out of every 300-400 visitors.

BUT, with affiliate marketing, you don’t need to write a

That brings me to the second reason why I love affiliate

** You don’t need to build a website **

What scares people more than creating a product is building
a website!

* What in the world is HTML?  Or FTP?
* How much does the software cost?  And hosting?
* How do I upload files?
* Why isn’t it formatted correctly?
* Why don’t my graphics look like the ones the pros have?

If you are a complete beginner, it can be very difficult
(even using templates) to get an attractive website in place.
And hiring a professional to do it fo ryou is out of the
budget for most people.

But, with affiliate marketing, you don’t need to build a
website.  You simply send visitors to someone else’s
professionally designed site through your affiliate link.

SIDEBAR:  Just in case you’re interested, HTML stands
for “hypertext markup language” and is the coding
used to build webpages.  FTP stands for “file transfer
protocol” and is the process used for moving files
from your computer to a website, or vice versa.

Really, in a manner of looking at it, you get to take
advantage of the time and money invested by someone else
to develop the site.  Think about it:  when you promote an
affiliate link, it reflects firstly upon YOU.  You are the
one who is advertising the link, recommending the product,
sending people who have interacted with YOU to the website.

The professional site of someone else really represents
you as the promoter, in the eye of those who have clicked
through your link.

You get the benefits without the bother.

One of the things I love about affiliate marketing is –

** You don’t need to create your own products **

Many people find the idea of creating their own products to
be an overwhelming and even paralyzing task.

* I don’t have any good ideas!
* I’m not a writer!
* There’s too much competition!
* I don’t know how to set everything up!
* I can’t figure out where to start!
* It’s too hard!

These are just a few of the valid reasons many people give
when it comes to not creating their own products to sell.
I’m sure with a few minutes of brainstorming, we could come
up with a list of many more.

With affiliate marketing, you don’t need your own products.
You simply promote someone else’s already proven successful
offer for a commission.

And, truth be told, even if you ARE a writer and you DO have
lots of ideas and you CAN figure it all out…

Using ezine articles is a great way to promote your favor
affiliate program.  What I’d like to do in this article is
provide you with a simple system for effectively writing
an ezine article that strategically promotes your offer.

There are five steps…

1. CHOOSE THE OFFER YOU WISH TO PROMOTE

This one is kind of a no-brainer. It all begins with deciding
what you want to promote. What offer would you like to
send traffic to.

HINT:  You can promote your affiliate link directly, but
what works better is to promote a list at YOUR site which
you then use to promote your affiliate link over and over
again after the visitor becomes a subscribers.

2. DETERMINE YOUR “USEFUL, BUT INCOMPLETE” APPROACH.

I love to use what I have coined as the “useful, but
incomplete” approach when using freebies of any kind.
(Ezine articles, free eBooks, reports, eCourses, etc.)

What I mean by that is simply this: You provide your reader
with “useful” information (something they find of value and
are able to actually apply) but make certain that it is
“incomplete” in that they can better use the information
by making a purchase.

That’s “useful, but incomplete.” And it works like a charm.

The idea is to use your content to build up to your desired
response. You provide the reader with content, and then
you make an offer that allows them to fully utilize the
content, gain extra insight from the content or maximize
the content in some additional way.

Let me give you an example -

If I wanted to promote an autoresponder service in an
ezine article, how could I do it?  I’d write an article
that explains how to benefit from using autoresponders.
My article would exlain different uses of autoresponders
and how the reader could profit from implementing the
ideas.

** I.E.  7 Ways To Create Revenue Streams With Autoresponders

Naturally, they will need an autoresponder service in order to
use the information, right?  And I just happen to know of a
great service they can use.  More on that later.

OK, so that’s an example of how to promote a SERVICE offer
with your ezine article. What about a software product or an
eBook?

Want some examples?

Good, because I’ve got two…

TO PROMOTE A SOFTWARE PRODUCT.  Let’s suppose you want to promote
a software program that creates “ecovers”.  How can you do it?

– Write an article outlining how important presentation of your
offer is, and how creating a cover graphic can increase response
rates by up to 1300%

– Write a step-by-step tutorial article for “do-it-yourselfers”,
explaining how to design your own graphics from scratch.  Then
promote the software as a super-simplified way of doing it.

TO PROMOTE AN EBOOK.  Let’s suppose you want to promote an ebook
that teaches advanced list-building strategies.   How can you do it?

– Write an article that covers the “basics” of building lists,
and then promote the eBook as the “advanced” tactics.

– Write an article on how to profit from a list, and then promote
the eBook as the “how to build the list.”

See how easy this is?

That’s how it works. Determine what your “useful, but incomplete”
approach will be, and then…

3. TURN YOUR APPROACH INTO A TIPS OR TUTORIAL ARTICLE.

Let’s use my example again. I decided that I would describe various
uses of autoresponders and how the reader can actually profit from
them. What kind of tips list or tutorial could I create?

* How to Generate More Subscribers, Sales and Profits With
Automated Follow-Up Messages”

* 7 Powerful And Profitable Ways To Use Autoresponders To Skyrocket
Your Sales and Subscribers!

* Want to Increase Your Online Profits And Leads? Here are 7 Ways
to Do It…

I actually went with the middle title. I wrote my list of the 7
ideas that I wanted to share. And I had the makings of a perfect
article to promote an offer.

That’s all you need to do. Determine your end result. Decide how
to get there with your “useful, but incomplete” approach. And then
develop a list, or even a step-by-step tutorial for your article
that leads the reader along.

With each new “idea” or “way” or “tip” or “step” or “strategy”
that you share, you can further direct the reader towards
realizing their need of your upcoming offer, and lay the
foundation for them to accept the offer.

4. EXPAND ON EACH POINT TO BUILD YOUR CONTENT.

Here’s more of the easy part. Just “fill-in-the-blanks” to complete
your article. Write 1-2 short paragraphs for each of your points.
Make them good. Provide quality content. The offer you will soon
make will see poor results if your information isn’t useful.

Remember, you are trying to presell the reader on the idea that
they are going to need your offer. If you don’t provide them with
quality information that they WANT to begin using immediately,
then why will they want to buy what you are promoting?

Light a fire in them. Motivate them. Challenge them. Give them
such nuggets of gold that they want to keep mining until they
hit the mother lode!

5. PUT ON THE FINISHING TOUCHES WITH THE “FIVE PILLARS”

There are five things that you should always do to finish up
your ezine article. Don’t skip any of them. They are all
critical…

* POLISH. Re-read your article. Does it provide information
that really is “useful” to the reader? And yet leaves them
wanting even more? That’s what you want. Polish it. Put
on the wax and make it shine. It has a very specific
purpose — make certain it has the means to achieve it.

* PROMOTE. Use your resource box to promote your offer. This
is why we’ve written the article, right? Remember step one?
It’s time to put it into play. Give the reader what they
(hopefully) are wanting…a way to maximize the information
you gave them.

* PROOF. Don’t do this yourself. Have a trusted friend, relative
or co-worker check your article for grammatical and
typographical errors. The last thing you want to do is present
a poor image after sharing some high quality information.

* PUBLISH. Zip your new article out to your favorite list of
publishers. Submit it to the announcement lists and the ezine
directories. Don’t forget to publish it yourself in your own
newsletter!

* PROFIT. If you’ve covered all the bases that I’ve mentioned,
then profits are almost certain to start coming in when your
ezine article is published. You deserve it. Be proud of your
accomplishments.

And then start it all over again!

steps using ezine articles.

How to Make a Fortune Promoting Other People’s Products

There must be a reason why some affiliates succeed and some
fail, a reason why some affiliates profit moderately and some
affiliates profit substantially.

There must be a reason.

There is.

And that reason is this:  “super” affiliates start, sustain and
strengthen relationships with subscribers.

It begins and ends with a list.  Even a small one can be a
powerful, profitable mechanism if you follow these 7
guidelines…

1. CAPTURE THE OPTIN FIRST.

Instead of sending traffic directly to your affiliate link,
send them to YOUR site where you offer some kind of list for
them to join.  (Hint:  Mini-course works best)  Once you have
them on a list, they become an asset.  If you send them directly
to an affiliate page and they don’t buy,  they’re gone forever.
On your list, you can follow-up  with them
indefinitely.

Note:  You can even redirect them to your affiliate link AFTER
they join your list, effectively getting them where you wanted
them to go in the first place.

2. DIFFERENTIATE THE OFFER.

Instead of sending out the same, tired, lame advertisement that
every other affiliate in the world sends out, write your own.
Trust me when I say that many people find it  OFFENSIVE when
they receive two dozens duplicate emails from two dozen list
owners all promoting the exact same thing in the exact same way.
And even if they don’t find it offensive, it’s not as effective
if you simply rinse and repeat what everyone else is doing.

Hint:  Here’s how you differentiate…

3. SPEAK FROM EXPERIENCE.

Nothing – nothing – nothing speaks louder than RESULTS.  If you
want to lose a few pounds, who do you turn to?  Someone  who is
still struggling with their own weight or someone you’ve seen
drop 35 pounds?  Exactly.

The way you make your mailings / ads different is you speak
from your own personal experience.  This product or service that
you are promoting as an affiliate, how has it been useful to you
personally?  What results have you personally achieved? When you
used it, what happened?

Note:  If you haven’t personally used the product, then shame
on you for trying to make a quick buck from it hocking it to
others!

4. OFFER A COMPELLING INCENTIVE.

Another way to be different – and to dramatically increase your
chances of getting a sale as an affiliate – is to offer some
kind of compelling incentive if someone buys the offer through
YOUR referral link.  Whether it’s a special report or access to
an audio recording, personalized consultation or advertising, a
private training call or existing products and services, this
can be a highly effective method of converting fence-setters
into paying customers.

In order for it to work well, it must be UNIQUE (I.E.  You’re
the only one making the offer) and USEFUL (I.E.  Something of
great perceived value to the reader).

Note:  Don’t have anything to offer?  Don’t worry!  There are
many ways to easily obtain extra incentives:  conduct an
interview, hire a ghostwriter to create articles / reports for
you, buy reprint rights to other products, assemble a bunch of
free articles and other resources into a private access site,
etc.

5. LOOK FOR RESIDUAL OPPORTUNITIES.

Rather than exhaust your efforts on purchases that give you a
one-time commission, why not make the most of your marketing by
looking firstly for offers that pay out ONGOING monthly
commissions for your referred sales?

There are many different residual income generating services
such as membership sites (ranging from PT Cruisers to weight
loss), stock photos and clipart, hosting, autoresponders,
databases (from hiking trails to sermon outlines) online
magazines and a variety of other subscription based
opportunities that reward you with monthly recurring commissions.

While you definitely want a mix of types of affiliate programs
to promote, your priority should be in identifying and promoting
those services and programs that will pay you month after month,
instead of only one time.

6. BUILD A SALES ARMY.

One of the biggest untapped sources of income in any list is
that of “turning subscribers into partners”.  In other words,
find those on your list who are interested in making money and
provide them with training and materials to promote affiliate
programs as well.

This has a two-fold advantage for YOU:

* First, if you find 2-tier affiliate programs, you can get
your subscribers to join the program through your referral.
Anytime they get a sale, you’ll earn a commission as well.  You
effectively get free commissions from their effort.

* Secondly, you can use their efforts to build your own assets.
For example:  If you provide them with a 10-page report to give
away to promote their affiliate link, you can include a page in
the report promoting YOUR list!  You effectively get free
subscribers from their effort.

7. MONETIZE FOR MULTIPLE STREAMS.

As your own list continues to grow, you certainly want to
diversify in your offerings.  (Not to the point of bombarding
your list with offers every day of course!)

* Promote other affiliate programs.
* Create your own products.
(Even short $10 reports will earn profit!)
* Establish joint ventures.
* Co-author products.
* Cross promote.
* Conduct surveys.

There are MANY ways to make money from you list and keep your
list growing, growing, growing!

Remember, it all comes down to:  starting, sustaining and
strengthening relationships with subscribers.

And that’s how you make a fortune as an affiliate promoting
other people’s products.
